Fun at Stone Mountain

challenging ourselves on the ropes coarse

posing on the big rock

Saturday we had the opportunity to go to Stone Mountain with some friends of ours. We had never been out there so it was a beautiful day to get out and enjoy the weather. We went to the top of the rock which is only 1600 feet, not high by Colorado standards but did offer a nice opportunity to see all the way to downtown Atlanta and Buckhead. The kids and I went on the ropes coarse, which was three levels 12ft. 24ft, and 36 ft above the ground. The kids surprised me with how brave they were. It was great to see them supporting and challenging each other. Then in the evening we joined up with our friends and Christine got to ride the duck boat with her friend Sophia and her family.  It was a great day.
